The half-day events that showcase projects and work from our seven research themes. They allow networking and collaborative learning through a series of presentations, workshops, plenary and innovative interactive sessions.
One of the highlights of the events are the keynote presentations. In this video hear from Dr Mateen Jiwani as he explores the theme 'Building back better.' His presentation 'Health care and the digital revolution: Challenging that translational gap.'
Dr Mateen Jiwani is a practicing GP in London and Essex and previously worked as an Executive Medical Director across various providers and most recently across a region. He specialises in Mental Health in Primary Care.
He has a passion for technology and innovation, is a regular global broadcaster on new and innovative healthcare approaches and sits on a number of boards including the Royal College of General Practitioners and on the global digital hyperscaler, BT. Dr Jiwani is a regular advisor to Ministries across Africa and Southeast Asia, with visiting roles to adopt primary care transformation using Digital Technology and Education.
Dr Jiwani is a leading voice for Telemedicine and patient safety. He continues raising the discussion around digital health and offering the right access at the right time in the safest way. He is a faculty member and Senior Clinical lecturer at Primary and Public health, Imperial College London and on the Surgical Innovation Programme, Harvard Medical School.
